  • Core Summaries
    • OCN
      • Selected for NESAP
    • ATM
      • Not much new to discuss related to upcoming release
    • CICE
      • Working on setting up simple test case
    • Landice
      • Not much new to discuss related to upcoming release
  • Release 3.0 items:
    • Multiple Streams
      • A lot of the rearranging in framework is complete
      • Registry work is mostly complete
      • Actual implementation is roughly half way
    • Proposed freeze date of Sept 12th
    • Proposed release date of Oct. 1st
  • ESMF Support
    • Discussion with Mariana made it seem like CESM would continue to use their own time manager, and they would be willing to include changes we made.
    • Michael is supposed to work with Jim to get CESM ESMF to build as a library
    • Doug will implement monthly and yearly intervals on the MPAS side
    • We will also add variable year size (more than 4 digits) and high precision time steps (for Land Ice)
