Notes:

  • Michael is working on MPAS-A in CAM.
  • Michael is working on single precision output.
    • Jim Edwards said you can downgrade variables through the PIO interface.
    • Will write a design document
  • Doug has the pre-processing of registry project complete and ready for review.
    • Cores pre-process Registry.
    • Submitting a pull request
    • Adding validation for Registry
  • Doug has design documents for templated variable arrays, and scratch var_structs.
    • Requested review of design documents.
  • Discussed the idea of removing namelists from repository.
    • Registry could generate a default namelist.
    • Namelist's could be renamed to namelist.core rather than having namelist.input as the only name.
    • Separate namelist names will likely be required for the multiple cores project.
  • Discussed Michael's trip to LANL next week.

No Developer telecon next week. (Dec. 2nd 2013)
