Notes:

  • Freeze
    • We are expecting to freeze this Friday (Sept. 26th)
  • Multiple streams
    • Ocean, landice, SW cores converted
    • Need to clean up some functionality:
      • Global attribute pool
        • Namelist options as global attributes
        • Adding domain variables at the same time as namelist
      • Halo exchanging from Stream list to stream manager
      • Reindexing (local <-> global)
      • Comments in XML
      • Maybe try to add single precision output
  • Forcing
    • Need to review the forcing document to see if the design is inline with the stream manager
  • Performance counters
    • A wrapper around PAPI counters might be nice
    • TAU can be used as a wrapper
    • Could look at using GPTL
  • ESMF
    • Makefile for ESMF Library from CESM
    • mpas_timekeeping updated to support monthly and yearly intervals
    • Added variable length years
