Introduction

All technologies that are modelled in ETMoses have a load profile assigned to them. This profile determines how much load this technology exerts on the network for each time step. If you install multiple units of the same technology (see here on how to do so), these will all have the same profile assigned. One can wonder how realistic this is. ETMoses therefore has the possibility to split the units assigned to the technology and use different profiles for the same technology.

Interface

A technology can be split in two by pressing split (see the image below).

Rules

Connectedness to the topology

Splitting will not change how technologies are connected to the end-points of the topology.

Multiple splitting

Every time a technology is split the number of units is divided in two. So splitting can be done multiple times.

Example

After splitting the technologie a different profile can be selected for the other half of the units.
