Packing a trap column

- Open the column using wrenches, gently
- Replace frits every ~5x or whenever the column runs at high pressure
- Wash out with water, using a wash bottle
- Reassemble half the column, first placing the metal ring on the plastic piece, and then the larger metal piece. It should be tightened, but not super tight
- Screw on the white funnel on top and the syringe on the bottom.
- The R2 resin* is in acetonitrile. Add it to the funnel and use the syringe to pull it through. When liquid enters the syringe, it’s probably packed.
- Reassemble the column the rest of the way: metal ring, fret, large metal piece.
