Here we discuss topics that need broader attention, for example questions that came up but are outside a single project's scope, larger planned changes/PRs that affect all teams or pending work that is blocked by external factors.

  1. Models / NESTML
    • deeper refactoring ongoing, GPU coding
    • some code changes touch spike_diluter which could probably be deprecated and replaced with bernulli_synapse (#2375)
      • created 3.4 release notes document, to collect important updates in already
    • disabled direct recording from noise generator (#2377)
  2. NEST GPU
    • nest/nest-gpu now public
    • integration with different development processes (pr reviews, CI testing, etc.)
    • changes to the installation procedure to make it more common
  3. PyNEST
    • nothing to report
  4. NEST Desktop
    • applied for conda package, to install same env as nest-simulator
    • adding functionality for multi-compatment models and multiple receptors
  5. Kernel
    • different small cleanups going on
    • looking for reviewers, check kernel projekt
  6. Installation
    • nothing to report

    • nothing to report
  8. Documentation
    • working on video tutorials, also in cooperation with NEST Desktop team
  9. EBRAINS
    • coordination of common installation on all HPC sites

  • only loosely coupled to original paper, much more related to Brette et al 2007, rename to hh_cond_brette_2007?
  • quite some overlap with different parameters, documentation needs to be improved
