2. TVB Coupling to NEST

   • TVB coupling to NEST (neural mass models to spiking simulations)
   • interaction by synaptic currents? (overloaded handle() function)
   • why implement in nest instead of interfacing to TVB?
     • efficiency in exchange of data between programs, IO operations
     • TVB has GUI and analytical functions that are very appreciated by the users
   • does benchmarking/profiling exist for the coupling NEST--TVB? → further discussion with more information over the mailing list then next m

3. NEST Initiative web services

   • migrated web servers
     • old web-services providers are being notified
     • former web server will be archived.
   • migrated mailing list, old mailing list server is shut down
     • some subscriptions on the old list having problems migrating, people please continue to contact the mailing list
     • how to proceed with old mailing list archives?
       • add additional mailing list with members-only archive and import old mailing list archives, add members from former list.
       • old mailing list will auto-reply that it is not the active list.

6. Review of NEST User Mailing List

   • NEST Docker containers will be made available
     • docker on windows will soon also support Linux containers, which will make NEST available on Windows.
     • much easier to deploy on tutorials and on cloud infrastructure
