Hotfix: Saved games will now be in correct format. Moreovoer previously corrupted savegames can be loaded with this version. You can then save and fix the savegame.

  • Added all mystic map spells
    • This includes the spell magic compass which shows a compass
    • This includes the spell map view which shows the minimap
  • Added minimap (with scrolling for world maps)
  • Added weapon and armor breaking in battles (broken items will be available after fight if won)
  • Added last ammunition used message and monster weapon switching to melee weapon
  • Added morale logic from the original
  • Added monster decision making from the original (target picking, move spot picking, spell picking, etc)
  • The called eagle will now fly in instead of just appearing on the party

  • Fixed savegame writing (will now work correctly and also stores activated go-to points correctly)

  • Goto-points now correctly set a specific direction when going back to them
  • Item usage now also checks for correct world
  • Fixed a scrollbar bug
  • Improved render code and therefore render performance

Misc

  • Added much smaller downloads which can run on machines with .NET installed (standalone versions are still available)

    • Added go-to point feature (activating them, using them to move quickly inside a map)
  • Added 3D exploration progress (you see what you have explored)
  • Map features like "Find secret doors" or "Find monsters" will have an effect so if Mystic Map is active you will see those things, otherwise not

Fixes:

  • When opening a chest, no fade occurs anymore
  • Map transports like ships and horses are now displayed correctly
  • The mouth cursor will no longer open chests
  • SP/SLP is no longer shown for non-magical characters
  • Improved the death animation of monsters (positioning and size)
  • When leaving a boat or raft the player will no longer fall into the water
  • While an item is destroyed or consumed the item tooltip is not shown anymore
  • Scrolled text won't need two clicks at the end to close a popup
