GumTree is an open source software package for performing scientific experiments. It is currently developed by the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation (ANSTO), and is in use by a number of neutron beam instruments on the OPAL research reactor. The aim of GumTree is to provide a closed loop on data acquisition and analysis, which enables users to utilise instrument time for much more sophisticated experiments.
The GumTree project is a collaborative effort on driving the GumTree development. Currently the GumTree project hosts the GumTree Platform (runtime) project and a number of related projects.
