AI Player Engine Improvements:

  • Ability-related Allied bonus detection #21
  • Better guaging of future value of a lower level card #90
  • Long term abilities now weighted #91
  • Weighting formula updates. Less extreme value swings, more respect to sleeping and defending creatures.
  • Massive creature weighting rebalance. 430 cards x 3 levels evaluated. Exhausting.
  • Corrected a very stupid mistake in the algo that was impacting play choice variety. Ideally bot choices will be more varied now.
  • More tweaking and improvements to come later™ for a better™ experience.

AI Overhaul

  • Will now consider impacts of actions across the entire turn
  • Some plays may be slower to calculate a choice
  • Progress indicators for the bot's brain (below the opponent portrait)
  • Still lots of room for improvement
  • While numerous considerations have been made for efficiency, it is still possible to have a board state that overwhelms the algo with possibilities. Please log an issue (lol like anyone reads these) if you encounter a scenario that grinds for over 10 minutes, including board state, suspected AI cards, etc.
