Some heating systems are a bit more tricky to connect BSB-LAN to because, for example, because the heating system's controller does not directly expose the CL+/CL- or MB/DB connectors. Here are more specific instructions for those heating systems:
- Power off the heater (to be really on the safe side: unplug it from the wall outlet)
- Carefully pull out the operating unit from the heater.
It could be either the main operating unit:
Or if you have your main operating unit placed elsewhere and it is also used as a room thermostat, then the unit to pull out will look like this one:
- Unscrew the two screws in the bottom holding the front side of the heater in place and open the heater.
- Once opened, grab the top of the plastic housing (includes the electronics of the heater) and slowly pull it downwards (there are some clips to hold it in place, those will click out):
- CL-/CL+ terminals are on the M2 terminal block, so unscrew the plastic cover on the left to access the M2 terminal block:
- CL-/CL+ terminals are the 2nd and 3rd terminals (from the top) on the M2 terminal block where the respective CL-/CL+ terminals of the BSB-LAN adapter should be connected. Please make sure not to use terminal 1 (it is constant 12V).
