Send outside temperature to heater
Some newer controllers (tested with several LMS and RVS models) support sending an outside temperature value to the heater. This might be useful in case there is no outside temperature sensor, or the sensor is located in a position that produces inaccurate values.
In this case – and provided you have a better source for the outside temperature available – you can remove the sensor from the system and try whether sending an outside temperature via parameter 10017 (10003 on older BSB-LAN versions) is successful with your heater by calling this URL:
http://bsb-lan.local/I10017=x
where x
is the outside temperature to be sent to the heater.
If your heater is compatible with this parameter, you'll find the value you just sent in parameter 8700 (outside temperature).
Please note: Removing the outside temperature sensor might produce an error which is displayed on the controller. If you decide to keep using parameter 10017, you can/should clear the error by calling the "Store Sensor" parameter (usually parameter 6200). The error will then disappear.
