Gameplay
During this phase of the project, I have a basic set up for a level. Now it I will have to test how enemies work in the environment. I'll be focusing primarily on the lobby/cathedral area for that the main area I will be testing. Using the 'hidden enemies' method of placing enemies, I placed my Knight enemies behind a places that looks like rows of benches. These enemies are not in the player's line of sight, that is until you go either 3 directions to find out that there are enemies ready to attack and you have to be resourceful of your ammo.
This map gave a sense that these enemies fitted perfectly in the environment; however, I feel that the space that they are in is too big and needs to be shrunken down to fit in Quake's mapping limitations. Next, I'll be adding the door, keys, logic, and the final refinements to the level.
