Announcing Loot in Chat

papa-smurf edited this page Jan 28, 2022 · 22 revisions

Basics and settings

By default Gargul posts loot drops with soft-reserves (if any) to the raid or party chat whenever the master looter loots a fresh corpse.

This behavior can be altered in Gargul's settings which can be opened by one of the following slash commands:
/gl
/gl settings
/gl config
/gl se
/gl co

Or pressing escape, clicking on Interface -> AddOns -> Gargul

Loot Announce Settings

You can completely disable this feature by unchecking the "Announce loot to chat" option. You can also define the minimum required quality for items to be announced in chat through the "Minimum announce quality" setting.

Last but not least you can opt out of posting who soft-reserved what to the chat by unchecking the "Include soft reserves in loot announcement" setting.

What do raiders see?

If you as a masterlooter have everything enabled (default behavior), then looting a corpse with soft-reserved items will result in the following message in raid chat:
Raid Announcement

If any of the items that dropped are on your raider's thatsmybis wishlists then that will also be displayed in chat:
Raid Announcement

If you start a RollOff for a soft-reserved item then your raiders will see the following raid warning accompanied with a raid message:
Raid Message

If raiders have Gargul installed then they'll be greeted by a rolling widget as well: Bidding Widget
