Release 0.4 Change List
Release date: April 25th, 2011.
For this release the main objective was to go through several of the small fixes requested by users. Thanks to the voluntary contributions of the new members of our development team, some nice features were implemented as well.
As the starting point in supporting the use of new.p2pu.org by people all over the world, we released the site in a second language. The Spanish translation pioneered this process and helped us prepare some documentation for anyone interested in including a new language.
In this release, broadcast messages (i.e., messages to all the study group participants) were replaced by the messages to the study group wall. Participants can choose not to receive notification for normal wall messages but organizers can be sure that messages marked as important will bypass this configuration.
- Users' gravatar picture is automatically associated with their profile, so they don't need to upload one from their computers.
- Users can change their email and password in the account settings.
- Notification emails contain a preview of the new content posted on the study group, and a link to unsubscribe.
- External links can be organized by moving them up or down on the study group sidebar.
- Organizers can provide the period of time in which they expect the study group to be active. These dates are optional and appear on the group's home page.
