One of the main features of release 0.3 is the addition of the sign-up process.
- If interested in signing up for a group, a user chooses "Participate" which opens up a page that has both the user's profile for updating as well as lists the standard sign-up questions.
- After making sure the profile is up-to-date, the user inputs the answer(s) and submits. On doing so, the applicant automatically becomes a follower of the group which makes it visible in the user's dashboard. (note that followers do not receive notifications by email, but applicant will receive emails related to their application)
- The organizer can "accept" the answer which converts the follower into a participant and makes their answer visible to other participants in the group.
- If more information is necessary from the applicant before accepting the application it is possible to reply in order to continue the discussion.
- "Course Content" is now titled "Tasks" to better fit the task-oriented model.
- Tasks, and also the study groups full description save their history of editions so it is possible to go back to a previous version.
- By default they are marked as collaborative (which means that all participants can edit them), but the organizers can choose to disable this for particular tasks.
- Threaded-comments are supported now.
- Report as abuse was included for tasks and comments.
- Study groups can be associated since their creation to schools.
- Schools can by created/edited at the admin interface.
- School home pages contain an html description followed by a list of courses.
- Study group descriptions and user bios now allow basic HTML (bold, italics, links).
- Background diagonal image was lightened.
- Increased visibility of bug tracking system so that users can report issues more easily as we move through the beta releases.
- ...
