Ascension automation

Basic Setup

  • Download kolproxy and unzip it into whatever place you want.
  • Start up kolproxy, this will automatically load up a login page for KoL. Log in as normal.
  • Don't do anything manually, don't play any turns or cast any summons. (Day 1 is pretty sensitive about everything being done precisely in order, to make sure you can get liver.)
  • On the main.php page (what loads when you first log in to the kingdom, showing the main map), there will be a link to "kolproxy settings" Click that to open up the settings page.
  • Enable the settings that you see there. Probably just enable everything, it'll be easier to explain that way. It will auto-save when you do this.
  • Go back to main.php by hitting the 'main' button in the top pane, there should now be a link to setup ascension automation.
  • Click the link to setup, use the default settings, and the setup link will be replaced by a link to start automating.
  • Click the link to automate your ascension and you're good to go.
  • It will sometimes interrupt you if there's a problem, like it runs out of meat, or it goes too long in a combat and aborts or something. This ascension script is meant to have a babysitter, but it does well overall. Very little of the ascension will need manual control. (Though some paths require more manual intervention.)
  • When it interrupts you, just work around whatever immediate problem it had, and then click the automation link again to have it continue automating the day.
  • It does NOT gather tower items for you.
  • To do a regular HCNP run, Mysticality classes work the best with the fewest manual interventions required (that's if you already have a lot of perms, otherwise you might prefer AT). Choose Degrassi Knoll sign, Astral Shirt, and Astral Pilsners.
  • For fistcore runs, choose Accordion Thief, Vole, Astral Belt, and Astral Pilsners.

Requirements

  • At least one of Disco Power Nap or Tongue of the Walrus is required to heal.
  • Cannelloni Cannon and Stringozzi Serpent are the spells used to kill almost everything, and you should have your class-specific stun skill.
  • The diet is based around Pastamastery and Advanced Saucecrafting for reagent pasta.
  • Summon Smithsness or Summon Clip Art are strongly recommended, because they're so strong.
  • Summon Alice's Army Cards is required for sewer leveling.
  • The Moxious Madrigal and The Magical Mojomuscular Melody are used throughout day 1.
  • Fist automation also expects pumpkin in the garden. (You can drink manually when it complains, but it'll hurt turngen on day 1 and not be as smooth.)
  • The script will work without much more than that, though you'll get more frequent interruptions if you're missing important skills, and be slower if you're missing the best familiars.

For SCBoris (3-day)

  • Degrassi and Gnomish moonsigns both work fine.
  • Boris skill training, most required pulls and fights will be done automatically (but not all pulls are used each day, you'll usually have a lot spare in a 3-dayer).
  • The script will stop and prompt you for any remaining pulls and fights that need to be done manually.
  • Setup/recommendation as of early 2014:
  • Wombat/shirt, energy drinks, snow garden, snow machine
  • Loathing Legion necktie, can of Rain-Doh, Juju Mojo Mask, plastic vampire fangs, stinky cheese diaper, Camp Scout backpack, Greatest American Pants, jek belt, dictionary (for moxie sign only) and 3x pirate outfit will be pulled automatically.
  • Before starting the script on day 1 it's recommended to pull 3x/4x moon pie and a Wrecked Generator for nightcapping. A folder holder with +muscle/ML/tranquil landscape works well too.
  • Immediately fill liver with an ice island long tea then run day 1 (skip getting stomach but leave all other settings as default.) Run day 1. If you somehow have spare pulls at the end of d1 pull glimmering roc feathers and consume them.
  • Day 2: pull 3x trapper ore, 3x ninja stuff, 3x digital key lime pie, jarlsberg and SP key lime pie, wet stew, and a Wrecked Generator for nightcap. Other decent pulls are disposable instant camera, killing jar. VGHD is a good consumable to round off the key lime pies.
  • Day 3: pull 4x hedge trimmers, 3x star key lime pie, star hat, star chart, and whatever else is needed for lair. There are enough spare pulls.

Maximally automated 2-day SCBoris

  • Start with 14+ boris points. (It's also been done with just 8, but that requires expensive turngen.)
  • Have all the relevant softcore gear mentioned above in storage. Go Wombat sign, with astral shirt and astral energy drinks, and ascend Softcore Avatar of Boris.
  • Pull 4x moon pie, 2x milk of magnesium, 1x wrecked generator *before* starting the script on day 1.
  • Start the script, then most of day 1 will be automated.
  • On day 2, start by eating and drinking and then run the script again. Make sure you have fortune cookie numbers when eating.
  • See scripting 2d SCBoris for slightly updated but still sort of outdated notes.

3-day HC BIG!

  • Go Accordion Thief, Vole, astral energy drinks, astral mask.
  • Since this is the year 2014, shit like saucemaven exists so go SR if you don't mind doing consumption manually.
  • You should have smitsness and/or clip art to have a chance at 3-daying.
  • VIP key, angel, he-boulder access are also mandatory for 3-daying.
  • Alice's army is also required for towerkilling. (NOT AUTOMATED)
  • Peppermints work best.
  • Some additional notes/ideas from automating BIG! back when it was the active path are here
