This page is to collect ideas for this mod. There is no guarantee, that these will be implemented!
If there are viable alternatives that are actively maintained, we might skip those here.

Multinet

Multinet Gadgets & Stuff

Firewall block:

  • Only transmit signals (redstone, data, etc.) in one direction

(Signal) Lamps:

  • Directly attachable onto cables, even within cable racks

Switchbox:

  • Logic Units (Redstone)
  • Fuses (if we have any power system that needs those, IC2?)
  • Alternative to actual Fuses: Limit power distribution with them
  • Power Meter
  • Power Converter (if we support multiple power systems)
  • Emergency Power controller -> emits redstone / sends data signal if the system is out of power
  • Battery units
  • Sound modules (play selected soundfiles through audio cables)
  • Disc changer (load records that can be changed via redstone/data)
  • Switches (Redsone, Data, Power splitter/switch)

(Emergency) Power Generator:

  • Various Engines, either trimmed for engaging speed (emergency generator), fuel efficiency, production volume, waste reduction
  • Definitely Diesel Engine, possible others (Coal/Steam/Turbine, Lava/Steam/Turbine, Wind/Turbine, Water/Turbine, Solar, Solar/Steam/Turbine, Nuke/Steam/Turbine, Temperature Differential, Lightning Bolt/Atmospheric Charge)

Multinet Cables & Pipes

Data cables:

  • Responsible for communication between taam blocks. They can have data channels (like variables) that give commands or data to other blocks, triggering options etc.
  • ComputerCraft & similar integration?

Power Cables:

  • Well, power cables. (Taam-Specific Power?, RF?)

Sound:

  • Transmit sound file + volume + offset
  • Input from noteblocks, jukebox, audio emitters from taam, etc
  • Output to Speakers

Redstone:

  • Lossless redstone transmission

Item pipes:

  • Maybe too big for cable racks?

Fluid pipes:

  • Pressure based
  • transport fluid + gas at the same time
  • Maintain Temperature based on material
  • Air pipes (big ones)

Cable Racks

  • "Floating" cable mounts, allowing multiple channels of cables / smaller pipes in one block
  • Vertical transmission (slopes, chutes, etc.)
