How to Install a Development version of the DuckieTV Standalone NIGHTLY

Pre requisites:

• DuckieTV Nightly build version. Get the latest version for your platform at the official download site here

Note: Windows XP and Windows Vista Windows XP and Windows Vista are not supported, nor Mac OSX older than 10.15.

Backup

before continuing, consider making a backup of your existing DuckieTV database, just in case it is ever needed.

• start DuckieTV and click on the Settings Icon
  
• click on the Backup button
  
• and then on the Create Database Backup button
  
• and now click on the Backup Ready! Click to Download button
  
• and then click on the Save button to store your backup.
  

Installing the Nightly Package

• Just launch the program to install DEV.

Note

• If you are upgrading an existing version of DuckieTV on the Mac OSX platforms, such as Mojave for instance, you first need to open the finder, click on the applications folder and move the DuckieTV app to the Bin. Otherwise the Installer will silently fail to replace your old app with the new one.

Start up DEV

• find the program DuckieTV and launch it. You are now running the DEV version!!

Note

DEV does not Auto-Notify you that a new version is available, so if you want to continue using the latest DEV version you will need to periodically fetch it again here.
