If you are reading this guide, we assume you have already joined OCP, following the initial information you were given when you signed up, and have completed your registration and paid your membership fee.

When you log in, you should now see five areas: Projects, Tasks, Faircoin Account, Membership and Profile. First of all, go to the Profile and change your password

On this screen you should see three columns: Personal Information, Registered Skills and Picture. Also on the menus at the top you can access Coop Feedback - a feedback page for your account(for chatting to OCP admins about your account), Faircoin Account - where you can check how much Faircoin you have in the system or send it to people, and finally - Settings - where you can change your email address, timezone, the language OCP is shown in, and your password.

If you click on "Change your password" you will have to enter your existing password, followed by the new password. Should you lose this password, you can on the OCP front page (https://ocp.freedomcoop.eu/account/password/reset/). Please use a unique password that has more than 12 digits, and that mixes numbers, symbols and uppercase text without including known words. There are many guides around the internet to create a secure password, and password management software such as https://www.keepassx.org/

This is important in this context because OCP stores money(yes Faircoin is money too!) and sometimes, confidential information such as the location of OCP users, which would be available to a malicious party that managed to access your account.
