Queen's Orders

An asymetric multiplayer game where one player is the Queen, who commands it's army and workers, builds constructions and assigns Quests to friendly Heroes like a Real Time Strategy game, while it's teammates plays as any of the other Heroes, in a 3rd person combat system.

Players looking for a Real Time Strategy and Action mixture in a cooperative game.


Game Flow


Gameplay

    • Worker is the unit that collects Resources. Spawns on the Keep.
    • Warrior is the melee fighter, equiped with sword and shield. Spanws at the Barracks.
    • Archer is the ranged fighter, equiped with a bow. Spawns at the [Archery Range](Archery Range).
    • Queen is the strategy player.
    • [Hero Worker](Hero Worker) has an axe to attack enemies, is weaker than other heroes but can also collect resources.
    • [Hero Warrior](Hero Warrior) is the strongest melee hero.
    • [Hero Archer](Hero Archer) is the only ranged hero.
  • Map

For now, there will be a single map. This map will have two Castles, four Outposts and many Resources, all symmetrically distributed.

  • Castle is the Team's base, has the slots for building every construction except for the Mines.
  • Outpost a weaker version of the Castle, in a more advanced position.
  • Keep is the main construction of Castles and Outposts, the team loses when it's Keep is destroyed.
  • [Archery Range](Archery Range) is the spawn for the Archer and [Hero Archer](Hero Archer).
  • Barracks are the spawn for the Warrior and [Hero Warrior](Hero Warrior).
  • Tower places it's units on an advantage point.
  • Mines are used to collect Stone or Gold.

The Queen player sends workers to collect resources, assign Quests to heroes, build the constructions and controls the army in an RTS way.

When a unit attacks or is attacked it enters combat mode. While in combat mode, the unit's movement is slightly changed. Running causes the combat mode to end.

  • Objective

One team must progress to and destroy the enemy's Castle and win the match.

Handcrafted fantasy (Close to Diablo III?).

The HUD looks like old scrolls.


Ideas for next versions

  • Change the Queen vote system.
  • Upgrade trees for units and constructions.
  • Unit variation, more types of Warrior, Archers and Workers.
  • Destructible castle walls.
  • Siege weapons for towers.
  • Rogue unit and hero, who has stealth abilities. Spawns at the Market.
  • Mage unit and hero, who has magical abilities. Spawns at the Library.
