Introduction

Hello IT is a fully configurable menu bar item made for IT departments. It allows system administrators and help desk staff to provide a simple and accessible application which serves to be the first port of call for users who require support.

The application is built by plugins loaded via configuration files. Administrators can create and push a global preference for com.github.ygini.Hello-IT domain (via file deployment, MCX, MDM…) and setup the Hello IT app to be launched at login time (for example, via a LaunchAgent).

When the application starts, it adds a custom menu bar item, with no Dock icon. The menu is populated at launch from contents within the preference file.
