Disclaimer
These release notes pertain to v0.0.1-rc.9 , but the released pre-compiled images (see attached) may contain an affix after which relates to patches e.g. v0.0.1-rc.9-hbnb-arm-01 (Hotspotβnβ, ARM Architecture (Raspberry Pi's), Patch 01) etc
Our team is aware that the functionality of the Hotspotβnβ Dashboard is limited at this time. Since v0.0.1-rc.9-hbnb-arm.12 is a pre-release only. An Over-The-Air (OTA) update is being worked on to add full functionality to the dashboard, resulting in a production-ready version before 2022.

Introduction
A custom build/ pre-release preview of Hotspotβnβ.
Copy to the MicroSD Card, insert into the corresponding Raspberry Pi.
Get Started
-
Download and extract the image to a MicroSD Card (Use Etcher or a similar program, depending on your OS and 64Gb SD if possible)
-
Manually add your wireless access point details (in the following file
/etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf
) before inserting the SD card into the Pi. -
Preparation:
BASIC: Change your router settings to facilitate the device:- make you wireless access point subnet to 10.0.0.x .... e.g. IP 10.0.0.1 / DHCP 10.0.0.3 - 10.0.0.254
- and add a network storage device, with the address: //10.0.0.1/hdd/{music, movies, roms etc}
ADVANCED: Change the device to suit your existing network: - edit /etc/fstab
- change devices static IP Address
(after bootup connect via ssh and run pihole -r to reconfigure IP)
don't install lighttpad when asked, apache is already installed)
-
Place SDCard into your Raspberry Pi and power it up
Next Release
- Make apps which run on all models of Raspberry Pi, default apps. In much the same way iPhone has calculator, calendar etc
- Make all other apps accessible via an app store (as one click install/uninstall).
- Smart filter the apps, so that only apps compatible with the hardware are displayed.
- Add some buttons to the dash with some CGI abilities, to reboot the device incase the GUI/control pads go down etc
- Unify the design of the controls, WebGUI (dashboard) and HDMI-out (Emulationstation Theme)
- Add some forms to the HotspotBnB GUI settings section, to submit a network storage device address (SMB or NAS etc)
