Tenets

  • Everyone is welcome, anyone can help
  • Sense of humor required
  • Impatience is unacceptable
  • Uncommented code is as good as an empty file
  • Meetings should happen as infrequently as physically possible
  • Do things the hard way, so that we learn
  • Do not fear complexity
  • But at the same time, don't do something in a complex way for no reason. Do it because the end result is more reliable
  • NO bullshit tasks for new people. Trust them immediately.
  • Work done for free is always open source. No exceptions.

Leadership

  • Each leader shall always be a junior (Exceptions for extremely glorious people)
  • Each leader shall be selected by the previous, announced two weeks before the competition
  • Each leader shall serve a term of no more than one year, and then move on to other MIL projects
  • Once leadership has passed on, they shall have sole ownership over the IEEE box, and all IEEE hardware and equipment
  • Never stop preparing for the next year. Build a team that will last not falter when key members leave.
