Independent Challenge #5 Reflection (Jillian Bleggi)
With each week, I feel that my time getting through these prompts improves. I can tell that I am becoming more competent at writing tests and then accurately interpreting the error message I get. I need more practice working with enumerables in order to feel comfortable with the syntax-- I keep getting tripped up on what is needed and where to put that information, and find myself still needing the notes from lessons and the Ruby Exercises I have completed.
In this particular challenge, I was proudest of how I worked through the methods of logging bike rides. When I felt like I was totally confused, I was able to use pry and work through what information was available to me (and how to get there). As a result, when it came to counting the actual number of rides later on in the Bike Club file, I felt like I already knew what to do... and it actually came fairly easy to me :)
Lastly, it has become painfully clear that I need someone to help walk me through the before(:each) method for my rspecs-- the amount of copying and pasting feels extremely inefficient, but I have yet to be able to get any RSpecs to pass when using before:do/before:each. I look forward to coming to Office Hours later this week for this ;)
I am submitting with all challenges completed and passing through Iteration 3.
