Tested on 11.1.2. Also tested back to 1.8.8 but latest Spigot is highly recommended for all features and challenges to work.

There are two major new features in this release: The Grid End and the Grid Biomes. ASkyGrid is designed for the latest version of Minecraft so upgrade your servers to get the goodness. It has been tested on older versions, but you'll miss out on features.

Players can get to the End by adding eyes of ender to ender frames found in random places at the bottom of the overworld grid. Some frames already have a few eyes in them to help. Once in the End, watch out for Shulkers and try to find some Elytra, or enchanted Feather Fall boots to help you escape. Don't forget that rockets can help you speed away.

The grid now has Grid Biomes that influence block types and of course bring different types of weather and plants. Saplings have also been given a chance to grow into trees randomly and make the environment a lot more interesting.

New Features (see config.yml to enable/disable)

  • The Grid End!
  • Biomes!
  • Added trees growth - saplings have a chance to grow into trees.
  • Chests have world-relevant items in them, e.g., Elytra can only be found in chests in the End world.
  • Spawners are more world-specific.
  • Default block and item probabilities have been balanced to make the game more enjoyable.
  • Challenges can be done in any ASkyGrid world (e.g. nether).
  • Ability to select the center coordinate point for spawning.
  • Respawn at home option added.
  • Customizable warp sound.

Bug Fixes
If you find a bug - please report it on the forum or PM me.
[Minor] Mobs were being cleared on teleport outside of ASkyGrid world.
[Medium] All WorldGuard regions were removed in ASkyGrid world instead of just ASkyGrid ones.
[Minor] Warp sound was causing a console error on 1.8 servers.

To start do /asg
To try challenges, do /c
Do /asg help for other commands
Don't fall

Tips

You can get elytra from a challenge.
Set home in some water.
