Loss of Care

Loss of care is an experimental feature that can cause a person to enter a new clinical pathway based on missed healthcare. As Synthea's healthcare and conditions are based on the Generic Module Framework (GMF), loss of care makes it possible to create new modules that will trigger new clinical pathways should a certain condition be missed due to lack of insurance and affordability. Loss of care can be defined on a by-condition basis. To enable loss of care, you must set generate.payers.loss_of_care to true in synthea.properties. by default, this value is false. To understand how to add loss of care modules, you should already understand the GMF as described previously in this wiki.
