1.3.0 is currently in Beta, available here. The most recent build is 1.3.0-beta.07. This changelist will continue to be updated.
- The all-new Cocos2D Metal renderer for iOS 8 (and compatible devices)
- CCEffects UI – add and edit CCEffects in SpriteBuilder with a few clicks
- Packages in Cocos2D – load groups of resources dynamically in your game
- An improved OpenGL renderer with multithreading option
- The first public beta version of the SpriteBuilder Android Plugin
- Other iOS 8 optimizations and bug fixes

Publishing
- Fixed issue #831: unhandled exception when publishing project with Bitmap Font
- Fixed issue #755: Deleting all the images from the Smart Sprite Sheet and published then preview in the resource inspector doesn't change back to the correct texture.
