We're a small group of developers providing an open source alternative to closed-source issue tracking and project management tools. Realizing that on-premise and cloud-hosted both has its place in modern software development, The Bug Genie strives to cater to both needs.

With thousands of active users, and a growing set of plugins and translations we're building a sustainable platform for developers and users.

What are we creating?

Our main project, The Bug Genie, is an issue tracking and project management platform initially created in 2002.

The Bug Genie is completely open source, and is also being provided as a hosted offering on our main website. The hosted solution lets you easily migrate to/from a self-hosted instance.

The entire solution is built as an extensible platform, allowing developers to write their own plugins for additional functionality such as slack integration, bot tools and more. In addition to the hosted solution, we also maintain a plugin repository where developers and users can share plugins.
