Open source projects

open-ephys edited this page Feb 22, 2012 · 3 revisions

Here are links to some other open-source projects for electrophysiology, with notes on how they differ from the Open Ephys GUI.

  • Ephus - Matlab-based software package from Janelia Farm, aimed at integrating intracellular electrophysiology into imaging and photo stimulation experiments.
  • NeuroRighter - software and hardware from the Potter Lab at the Georgia Institute of Technology, aimed at doing closed-loop electrophysiology in vitro.
  • NSpike - software from the Frank Lab at UCSF for controlling custom data acquisition hardware. Last updated in 2007.
  • Trellis - software for the Grapevine Neural Interface Processor from Ripple.
  • ArtE - a Linux backend for collecting multichannel electrophysiology data with National Instruments analog-to-digital converters and streaming it over a local network. The Open Ephys project is closely affiliated with the ArtE project, and will eventually include modules for interfacing with ArtE computers.

Please let us know if there's something we've left off the list.
