I have been monitoring my dependency tree and I noticed this crate is the only in it which has regex as dependency. The regex crate significantly increases binary size and compile times. Furthermore this crate only uses ASCII character classes, so the additional Unicode support is not relevant.
Only 2 lines have been semantically changed, the rest is formatting.
