Please note that versions of zlib < 1.3.1 fail to build on macOS with upcoming clang 18. |

Thanks a lot for your help! I validated that the commit is indeed belonging to v1.3.1 of the libz source repository when checking it out locally. I will release it soon under v1.1.15. |
