What is this?

Hey! The security engineering team is beta testing a new CodeQL configuration with teams.

This new CodeQL configuration allows us to write custom rules, which covers more specific use cases seen within OGP!

For example:

  • Next.js specific rules
  • tRPC specific rules
  • React specific rules

Unfortunately, there are limitations on GitHub which means this can only be a partially automated change.

What happens exactly?

  1. We open this pull request you're reading now
  2. We disable the default code scanning configuration for your repository
  3. Once the Pull Request is merged, your repository is automatically enrolled into Advanced CodeQL!

What do I need to do?

  1. Merge this Pull Request as soon as possible
