Installing XKit
New XKit is available on the Chrome Web Store.
New XKit for Firefox is distributed by us from this repository.
Simply click the XPI file link on the latest release page to install New XKit.
If Firefox claims there is a connection error, right-click the XPI file link and select "Save Link As..." to download the file. Then, to install New XKit from the downloaded file:
- Navigate to about:addons
- Click the gear button in the upper-right
- Select "Install Add-on from file..."
- Find and open the XPI file
The new Microsoft Edge is built on Chromium, and can install extensions from the Chrome Web Store.

Opera is a Chromium-based browser, and offers the Install Chrome Extensions addon.
Once you have this installed, you can install New XKit from the Chrome Web Store.
Beginning with Safari 13, support for Legacy Safari Extensions has been dropped, and the Safari Extensions Gallery has been shut down.
As writing a Safari App Extension has proven too difficult, New XKit is no longer available on Safari.
