Welcome to my portfolio wiki!

The development of this portfolio website started a long time ago...

Since 2019, this project consists to simplify (in fact, not really) the management of my CV and my portfolio. Indeed, just like everyone else, we used to use a 'Word' file to build our resume, describing global information like username, experience duration, the education level, each jobs, their duration... Gradually, the amount of (interesting) information increased and it becomes difficult to organize them in one or two page: it's not good too produce a lot of pages. Also, if you want to present a portfolio with your developments, production, personal projects, you have to create and maintain this one: it can take the shape of a 'PowerPoint' document, and its maintenance can be exhausted. Personally, I hate this tool: not funny, a lot of manual action to repeat, slides layout boring to maintain... I don't like waste my time to play with these manual tool: it's not funny with boring layout topics, calculate each my total professional experience duration, spend time to reorganize my experience due to a lack of space... All of them are BORING tasks.

My idea is to simplify my life: as Coluche said:

... and we will see, at the end of this page if my life is simplified !

So this project was born! The goal is to manage all my professional and personal background into a website in order to:

• organize all my background information on one entry
• automatize some calculations (like total experience duration)
• centralize all my developments in order to share and find them easily
• offer a geographic point of view of these informations (I'm a geographic information system specialist, so... ;) )
• continue to increase my development skills, and build a sandbox to map data and test new technologies (it's funny)
• ... and because as I said: Word and PowerPoint bore me...

I am aware that some choices may seem overkill, but this is an opportunity to test, and play!

it's current shape came from multiple development iterations:

The first one consists in a small application deployed on Heroku (when the service was free). Flask was the main Python framework to handle bith the back-end and the front-end part.
