Install OpenMOC

OpenMOC has been developed and tested on Ubuntu 11.10 and Mac OSX Lion. If you run either Ubuntu or OSX, please follow the instructions below to install OpenMOC on your system.

We have not tried compiling and running the code on any other operating systems, but we do not expect any problems as long as you have installed the libraries which OpenMOC depends upon. In addition, you will need a C++ compiler which supports the 2011 C++ standards. We suggest using the GNU g++ compiler version 4.3 or above.

The libraries which OpenMOC depends on are the following:

• Expat xml parsing library for C++
• ImageMagick
• libtiff, libpng, libjpeg
• Silo
