An agent-based approach to simulating the dynamics of the aurora is presented. We combine a dynamic agent-based model with a stochastic Monte Carlo approach to reproduce the dynamics of the aurora. We investigate the consistency between our model and some physically observable characteristics of the aurora. Finally, we extend our model to other planetary aurora, specifically Jupiter's moon Io.
##Presentation A PDF presentation of the simulation approach.
##report The paper (report) written as a summary of the work
##src The C++ code for the simulation.
This project was the final project for the Graduate course Advanced Topics in Computational Science at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology. The course was offered in Fall 2015 and taught by Dr. Hendrick de Haan.
