PSK Roles Responsibilities and skills

Developer Role

You make sure that the gathered user stories are being implemented on qualitatively high level. You will communicate with the on-site customers to see if the implementations are the right ones.

Responsibilities

  • You implement user stories.
  • You make sure the workload is spread fairly among the other developers.

Skills

  • You make new technologies and knowledge your own, you keep learning and developing yourself.
  • You take your responsibilities (Pro-active).
  • You ask and give direct feedback to the team members.
  • You recognize tasks and pick these up pro-actively.
  • You think about what you want to communicate and how to do it in the best possible way.
  • You identify problems and determine the path to the solution.

On-site customer Role

You are the voice of the client within the team. You know best what the customer wants and you try to place yourself in the customers role to determine the requirements to be able to help the team make decisions about the final product.

Responsibilities

  • You gather and prioritize user stories.
  • You handle from the interest of the client.
  • You make sure the client has the right expectations.
  • You are the communications channel from and to the client.

Skills

  • You know the requirements of the assignment.
  • You know the stakeholders and other persons of interest.
  • You make sure you are well informed of the current and desired situation.
  • You make sure that the solution fits with the desired information.
  • You manage expectations.
  • You show the impact of changes.
  • You advise in taking the "next steps".
  • You recognize bottlenecks and act upon those.
  • You prioritize activities and plans them with the Tracker (and/or) team.

Tracker Role

You are responsible for organizing tasks and the creation of a sprint planning. You make sure the team members carry out the tasks in a timely and correct manner.

Responsibilities

  • You have insight in the spend hours team members have worked on the project.
  • You make sure there is a sprint planning and people keep to it.
  • You plan the required time needed to complete a task.

Skills

  • You are alert on individual and team behavior regarding the completion of tasks.
  • You are good at defining the time needed to complete a task.
  • You are able to provide the team with a complete overview of tasks to complete.

Team-Coach Role

As a Team-Coach you make sure the team functions as a team, that procedures are being followed en the general development of working in a team.

Responsibilities

  • You identify problems within the team and act upon those.
  • You discuss with the team regarding possible solutions for these problems.
  • You make sure that the sprint rituals (meetings, etc) are planned in and being carried out.
  • You make sure the team feels motivated to work on the project

Skills

  • You are alert on individual and team behavior.
  • You keep triggering the team and make them feel motivated throughout the sprint.
