socketIO-example

This is a chat web app that uses socketIO and node built in the laravel 5 framework.

Requirements

Virtual Box 5.1.x (https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads)

Vagrant 1.8.x (https://www.vagrantup.com/)

##Running local server

1. Navigate to /puphpet in terminal

2. command: vagrant up

3. command: sudo echo '192.168.59.105 socket-example.dev' >> /etc/hosts

##Running the App

1. Open a browser window to socket-example.dev

2. Open either a different browser or an incognito window to socket-example.dev
