Sonic 2 CE - Version 1.10

This is the SHC2024 version of Sonic 2 CE, with the following changes:

• The SEGA splash screen now fades in from the TI-OS menu
• Added the SHC splash screen, which was easier said than done
• Added frameskip, which improves the framerate
• Overhauled GHZ Act 3, which is considered the worst level in Sonic 2 SMS
• Added a results screen after beating the game, which shows your time for every level and every collected emerald
• Pausing the game now refreshes the screen.
• Fixed a bug that made level select practically uncontrollable
• Fixed a nasty bug in CEZ Act 3 which caused an NMI reset

Also, there's a new French translation, which wasn't at SHC2024 at all. Enjoy!

Sonic 2 CE - Version 1.00

sonic2.zip is playable from start to finish, albeit with an inconsistent framerate.

sonic2-fast.zip has a consistent framerate of 30-45 FPS, but there are no enemies, bosses, or goalposts, meaning not a single level is completable.

In order to access every level, hold the left key as the game starts to load up the Level Select menu. From there. press 2nd to enter a level, or Alpha to enter one with every Chaos Emerald.
