Firebase's Package.swift has a lower value, so bring back support so they can still depend on current versions of the session fetcher.
This reverts commit 3d79b15.
This reverts commit fb798c3.
Also remove the CPP symbols no longer needed.
This doesn't have to be a new major because we're added back support for something removed, so it expands the compatibility vs. reduces it.
