If you miss the linux terminal commands or simply want to use iTerm2 as any other text tool like delete complete words or move to the beginning of the line and so on, you need this mapped profile.
Just download download the iterm2-shortcuts-profile.json and import it in your iterm2 profiles.
Go to Preferences -> Profiles click on your current profile, click Other Actions and import JSON profiles. Then just select the iterm2-shortcuts-profile.json and you're set.
