- Fran gave an overview of the backend and frontend, that currently we have all of the boilerplate setup for backend (models and seeds, database migrations and examples for controllers and tests) and for frontend (redux, styling)
- Madalena shared an idea of having an organizer checklist of tasks to send reminders to confirm venues and sponsors leading up to the event.
- Madalena shared some mockups showing user roles and a color coded list of features
- Quincy suggested Madalena’s post-it ideas be added to the issues and many will likely be post-MVP features.
- Madalena is doing a user survey for organizers to get more feedback on their needs for Chapter.
- Saritta can help do a Visio diagram of the infrastructure. The system is currently 2 Docker containers (Node and Postgres). Fran and Saritta will work together.
- Quincy asked for 1 or 2 people to work on fully creating the Figma mobile-first mockups so there’s a better visual of what the user interfaces will look like.
- Jonathan and Tomide volunteered to work on the Figma mockups for the next two weeks leading up to the next meeting.
- Jim shared an update on the expanded terminology in the README
- Quincy suggested the documentation focus on the administrator role
- Fran shared internal technical documentation
- Fran suggested cleaning up the UI folder structure as it’s a mix of library patterns
- Quincy suggested using Material UI design patterns and very little, or no, custom CSS.
- Quincy suggested putting all technical docs in CONTRIBUTING.md and all user documentation in the Wiki
- Ariel offered to work on React components in the coming weeks. Aryan chatted that it may be too early to work on React components
- Ping Quincy on Discord for meeting invites.
- The next Chapter meeting will be in two weeks at a date and time to be decided by Quincy.
