The install guide is currently outdated and needs to be updated to reflect the new install routine. This ideally should wait until we are done with some forthcoming major changes, namely #172 and hopefully resolving #130. It may be of benefit to resolve #136 as well.

The install guide is intended to be user friendly. Its focus should be on a GUI installation, but we could have separate information on a CLI install.
