New in this release:

  • Disqus commenting on blog pages
  • Alternative language links in the head metadata for better indexing by search engines.
  • Various Accessibility changes for users to be better able to navigate the site via keyboard only.
  • Various changes to the layout for better accessibility for people using screen readers.

Changed in this release:

  • Some styling changes to the page header for larger screens, to use the existing space better.

Fixed in this release:

  • Gallery cards in the 'Latest galleries' section will now all have images again.
  • An issue with some OEmbed content not being retrieved in the proper JSON format.

Under the hood:

  • Detection of alternative API endpoints when generating europeana media proxy URLs. This will facilitate working 'download' and 'view media' links on our internal portals.
  • Changes to Image sizes for some contentful images, which were being retrieved at their original resolution previously. Now we'll only retrieve them as big as they'll be displayed.
