An M2.5 screw seems like a better fit than M3. Also make the algorithm easier to read.

Given that there is a new Libretiny version which supports UART buffer size changes via a platform-specific option there is no more need to use a patched version of Arduino API. https://github.com/libretiny-eu/libretiny/releases/tag/v1.8.0
