Groups – accesses – sites

Groups/permissions

Global site users

  • Global site editor: (will be the editorial team) Should have all editor accesses within the site (as now in the project phase)

  • Local news editor: Only be able to create pages with the local news template, and choose between the (currently) three options for local news: UK, US, EV. Should see as little as possible of editable setup related options (routing of topic pages, redirects, tags, country tags, local news tags, text snippets etc). Should not be able to create or edit topic pages or to create or edit global news.

  • Review user: we need to be able to share a preview of a topic page (or a news) with stakeholders, to get an approval to publish. In AEM this is done by creating and sharing a "view as published" link and using the same user name and password for all review users. A suggestion for a better - but still easy - way of solving this is very welcome.

  • Global site on duty: Should have access to publish news and edit and publish all topic pages. Should see as little as possible of editable setup related options (routing of topic pages, redirects, tags, country tags, local news tags, text snippets etc,). Not needed for go-live.

  • Single page editor: should only have access to edit specified topic pages. Should not be able to create new topic pages or to create or edit global news. Not needed for go-live.

Secret site users

  • Stock sensitive/secret site editor: Meant for editors with access to stock sensitive information, to be able to prepare pages in advance, and have them ready when publishing is approved. Editors should have all accesses within the secret site. Should be able to create stock sensitive news and add assets (upload different files + images from Brandmaster). Tor and Mette (and potentially others) will also need the option to be the only editor in the group. Trude and Fernando will be added for the quarterly results. Administration to add and remove people without giving warnings must be easy.

Satellite sites users:

  • Satellite site editor: (will be the editorial team) Should have the same access as global site editors - be able to edit "anything"

  • Satellite site author/sub-editor): (will be the local editor) Should have a more limited access with focus on publishing only, and not see setup related options (will need e.g. creating and routing of topic pages)

Secret site

The secret site is a temporary solution for restricting access before publishing sensitive information. Immediate need is the news template and assets (files and images, upload and Brandmaster). The content created in the secret site should only be seen and accessible for those in the Stock sensitive/secret site group. Pages and assets will be migrated to the global site when publishing (Can it be both news and topic pages?) Not likely that topic pages are needed, but could be).

Global site

The global site will need access to everything, including the news list component – that should show news tagged with the same tag (UK, US or ETV) created with the local news template and the news template with subscription.

Satellite sites

All satellite sites:

Hide:

  • the local news template and local news tags

  • event

  • landing page

  • news subscription option in news template

  • forms component, redirects, tags, country tags, redirects, text snippets for forms

  • All local satellite site editors should have the same kind of access within their site

Poland (Polish):

  • Can be "soft launched" without a news template, but will need a news template without subscription and a news list component after main go-live.

Equinor Storage (German and English):

  • Will not need any news publishing

Equinorfondene: (Norwegian)

  • Will not need any news publishing

Argentina (Spanish and English)

  • Will need the news template without subscription, and a news list component

Brasil (Portuguese):

  • Will need the news template without subscription, and a newslist component

Germany (German):

  • Will need the news template without subscription, and a newslist component

Japan (Japanese and English):

  • Will need the news template without subscription, and a newslist component

(Techstars and Loop will not be satellite sites in Sanity)
