Ideas for books and applications

• Tipping three times on the "eye" icon triggers an additional layer. This starts with an announcement that the child has discovered a "secret mode" (kids love this!) and allows to play children's songs until the "eye" icon is tipped again.
• Use Tiptoi technology for photo books.
• Create your own animals (done)
• Build a calculator app (done)
• Extend the calculator app for use as a low-end "barcode" cash register, eg. for small flea markets with central check-out
• Integrate the names of your children into existing books (personalization)
• Use Tiptoi for visually impaired and blind people (example)
• Implement an interactive treasure hunt
• Connect the Tiptoi via audio cable with a PC for triggering actions on the PC (open websites, control Tiptoi simulator, ...)

Ideas for tttool

• Add a command which integrates the debug output into an existing .gme file. It could be triggered by tipping 5 times on the start icon.
• Compress gme files by removing unneeded stuff (e.g. double audio tables) and downsampling samples. This could be a useful feature for people with the first generation Tiptoi that has limited storage.
• Integrate a function to create files containing only the modified parts of existing .gme files (delta gmes). This will allow to offer modifications of commercial products without copyright violations.

Ideas for hardware mods

• Modify battery level recognition to also work with rechargable batteries (especially Eneloop). Currently the pen shuts down very early when these batteries are used.
• Enable debugging mode (there is a chinese debugging mode : by starting the pen while pressing volume down and then by pressing volume up, one can hear OID code into chinese)
