I like producing homemade mead, so I assembled a device for this purpose.
I'm using it since 2017, producing many bottles of excellent mead.
The basic idea of this project was to build an object that would make production of homemade mead easy but also reproducible, so I could refine the recipe.
- A wooden box, styrofoam coated, protect the fermenter from cold, maintaining a stable temperature.
- A low energy terrarium heater gives heat if needs.
- Two temperature sensor checks the temperature inside the box.
- A magnetic stirrer stirs one of two times per day.
- Arduino manages the electronics.
- Raspberry PI expose a web interface.
This project require wood, polystirene, some electronics, arduino, raspberry pi.
