An importer and exporter for AMF (Additive Manufacturing File), a format primarily designed for 3D printing.
AMF has a wikipedia page that describes its advantages over STL:

The main advantage the AMF plugin provides for the user is it can export multi material, multi volume objects, which many slicer software can open.
